The time is upon us where everyone is either madly in love or unusually grumpy. That’s right, Valentine’s Day is approaching. Now I think we can all say that we have an Undergrad in our lives, so why don’t we take this time to remind them how much we love them. This time of the year is often extremely chaotic for undergrads as Valentine’s Day often falls smack-dab in the middle of first-round exams. So let’s all agree to use Valentine’s day as a way to spread some love and encouragement.
Here’s a short list of gifts that any undergrad would love:
I think this one is self-explanatory. Find out if they are the pour-over, french-press, or Keurig type and get them the correct form of coffee. Splurge for the good stuff! Most undergrads are poor and used to drinking coffee that rivals that of gas stations.
Also, you can pair your lovely coffee with some high-quality creamer. It might not seem like a lot, but I know that most undergrads would GREATLY appreciate this gift.
2- Burt’s Bees Lip Balm or Chapstick
This might seem a little simple, but trust me it isn’t. Spring semesters are extremely brutal with their constant weather change (especially if you’re located in Kentucky). It is easy to develop a nasty chapped lip. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm is a little on the pricey side, but it so worth it.
3- Fuzzy Socks
Dorms are cold. Feet are weird. Do I need to say more?
4- Moisturizing Hand Cream
This follows the same sort of vein as the Burt’s Bees Lip Balm. A nice, happy scented hand cream is sure to make anyone happy.
5- Travel-sized Hand Sanitizer
University campuses are a breeding ground for germs, and getting sick during the semester is a terrible nightmare for all.
We all stress-eat and chocolate is perfect for this.
Undergrads are poor. Free money is always welcome.
I hope this guide helps you as you try to find the perfect gift for the undergrad in your life. Don’t feel like it needs to be extravagant as we appreciate cute cards and practical gifts that make our lives easier.
Love and Happy Reading,
